Clinical Significance
Levels are measured in order to monitor ovulation for in vitro fertilization (IVF) and to predict IVF success. In cases of infertility, low Progesterone levels can indicate a defective luteal phase. In early pregnancy, low progesterone levels point to an increased risk of pregnancy loss.
